Christopher Nichols - President
Chris founded Saris Corporation in 1998. Chris received his Bachelor of
Arts degree in Mathematics from the University of Maine in 1987
with minors in electronics engineering and physics. He completed 5 years of post graduate education in
Mathematics as a graduate assistant at the University of Arizona. Chris has provided
consulting support for several statistics and mathematical
modeling projects. Chris has expertise in mathematical statistics,
geostatistics, neural networks, numerical methods, distributed applications design,
e-commerce applications, internet payment card processing
applications, relational database design, XML, and object oriented
programming. In addition, he has been programming for 25 years in
a variety of languages including PASCAL, FORTRAN, Mathematica, C, C++,
Visual Basic, VBScript, Visual Basic.NET , ASP, ASP.NET, JavaScript, SQL, XQuery
and XPath. |
Mary Nichols PhD - Vice President
Mary holds a PhD in Engineering that she earned from New Mexico
State University in 1999. Prior to receiving her Doctorate, Mary
earned an A. A. S. in Pre-Professional Forestry from Paul Smith's
College, A Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Engineering from
Oregon State University, and a Master of Science degree in
Forestry from The University of Maine. Mary's course work included
courses in programming, management information systems,
statistics, geostatistics, and computer modeling using finite
difference methods. Mary has expertise in experimental
methods for natural resources research, statistics, instrument
development, soil and water conservation methods, fluvial
geomorphology, sediment transport, and rangeland restoration
focusing on low-tech erosion control methods and revegetation. She
is currently employed as a
scientist with the Southwest Watershed Research Center. |
Sara Van Hof - Secretary
Sara received her Bachelor of Science degree, Magna Cum Laude, in Information
Systems, from Roger Williams College in 1986. She has twenty one years of Information Systems experience in
mainframe and
distributed processing. Sara has experience in cable television
systems, truck body industry, party sales applications,
e-commerce, and retail sales applications. Sara has held positions as an applications
programmer, programmer/analyst, project manager, webmaster, and
application manager. In addition, she has worked as a senior
consultant with a large international consulting firm. She has
twenty-one years of programming experience including MS-DOS,
COBOL, CICS, Easytrieve, MVS, Fileaid, VB Script, JavaScript, VB,
ASP, html, SQL. |
Marina Cornelius - Graphic Artist, Web Design
Marina received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Magna Cum Laude, in Studio Art with an emphasis in illustration and sculpture, from
the University of Arizona in 2002. Marina has worked at Saris
Corp. since 2001. |
Leann Cornelius - Graphic Artist, Web Design
Leann received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual
Communications and Graphic Design from the University of Arizona
in 2005, Leann has worked at Saris Corp since 2002. |
Aiyana Kingsbury - Programmer
Aiyana has three years programming using VB.NET, SQL and XML. She
is currently working on a webserver logfile analysis program with
a web browser interface and SQL Server 2005 database backend. |
Eric Anson PhD - Contract Information Systems Consultant
Eric holds a PhD in Computer Science with an emphasis in
Computational Biology that he earned from The University of
Arizona in 2000. The salutatorian of his class, Eric received a
Bachelor degree of Science, with honors, in Mathematics/Computer
Science from Pepperdine University. He later earned a Master of
Science degree in Mathematics from The University of Arizona.
Eric's dissertation research focused on advanced algorithms for
genome sequencing. Eric was part of a remarkable team of
scientists at Celera Genomics that produced the program that first
sequenced the human genome. He later worked for a bio-tech company
developing software to automatically control a microscope to scan
slides and apply artificial intelligence techniques to identify
target cells. He worked for Raytheon Missile Systems developing
simulation software for testing missile systems designs. Eric
worked for the Agricultural Research Service where he was
responsible for systems administration and implementing,
maintaining and upgrading the site’s services, servers and
network. While at the ARS he also led a project to organize,
store, and verify climate data and make it easily
accessible through an interactive web interface. In 2005 Eric
formed Zardick Consulting, a computer consulting company which
assists businesses and individuals with networking,
troubleshooting, and software solutions. Eric has programmed in
many languages including: Pascal, FORTRAN, C, C++, VB, VBS, VBA,
JavaScript, SQL, UML, LISP, ICON. |
