He later earned a Master of Science degree in Mathematics from The University of Arizona. Eric's dissertation research focused on advanced algorithms for genome sequencing. Eric was part of a remarkable team of scientists at Celera Genomics that produced the program that first sequenced the human genome. He later worked for a bio-tech company developing software to automatically control a microscope to scan slides and apply artificial intelligence techniques to identify target cells. He worked for Raytheon Missile Systems developing simulation software for testing missile systems designs. Eric worked for the Agricultural Research Service where he was responsible for systems administration and implementing, maintaining and upgrading the site’s services, servers and network. While at the ARS he also led a project to organize, store, and verify climate data and make it easily accessible through an interactive web interface. In 2005 Eric formed Zardick Consulting, a computer consulting company which assists businesses and individuals with networking, troubleshooting, and software solutions.
